Brotherhood as a philosophical poem.

      In the poem “Brotherhood”
the poet Octavio Paz highlights the fact that the ignorable span of his life is
recorded and determined by some almighty divine power to which an individual
power is insignificant. Human being cannot conquer the power. Everyone has to
surrender. For this the poet sadly looks up at the sky and realizes that there
is a strong bond of Brotherhood among stars. He feels happy as he understands
that he can also be immortal like stars through his Creations. He understands
that there is a strong bond between Creator and creation like the relation
between God and human beings. Thus illustrating the theme of relation
between God and his creation, the poem “Brotherhood” rightly claims
itself as a philosophical poem.
