Two kinds of realities are inclash with each other
Ruskin Bond has shown his genius by
mixing two opposite things together- reality and Imagination. In the story
“reality” and “imagination” walk side by-side. Reality is
an experience, gained through our senses and imagination is created. Two blind
characters to hide their blindness from other, used imagination. It was nothing
but their attempt to hide their reality. Being unable to see, the narrator drew
a picture of the girl in his imagination. But the story ended with a twist that
the girl was blind. Here what the narrator imagined was real to him and again with the help of the
third man’s eyes the narrator gained a new experience. Thus two kinds of
realities are inclash with each other.
